Bom dia Srs,

Após baixar a versão 9iR2 e tentar instalar em um Win 2003 64bits fui surpreendido com a seguinte mensagem:

”
The image file setup.exe is valid, but is for a machine type
other than the current machine.
”

Alguém já se deparou com essa situação ?

Olá,

A versão do Oracle 9iR2 é para Win-64? Se não for, você terá que fazer o download da versão 64-bits

É para 64 sim.

Porém ao consultar a lista de homologações abaixo tem uma parte assim
” o There is no 64-bit version of 9iR2 nor 10gR1 for 64-bit Windows on AMD64/EM64T hardware”

Dizendo que não existe versão 64 bits do 9ir2 para windows 64

Agora fiquei sem entender , a oracle disponibliza o arquivo porém diz que não existe…

      o There is no 64-bit version of 9iR2 nor 10gR1 for 64-bit Windows on AMD64/EM64T hardware
      o Running 32-bit applications on a 64-bit operating system is generally referred to as "Compatibility-Mode" by many AMD64/EM64T hardware vendors. Irrespective of this terminology, 32-bit Oracle Database server is *not* certified on Windows x64. For the 32-bit Oracle database client, check the certification matrix for more details.

  O/S Information:
      o Oracle certifies against the specific Microsoft operating system (OS) and, if applicable, service packs (SPs) stated in the Oracle product documentation. Oracle will support the use of our products on any later SP or OS security patch as soon as that SP or patch becomes generally available. Olá,

O problema é mesmo o Windows-64bits, instalei na minha máquina nova em casa o Vista Ultimate 64… resultado:

Ganhei os 4 GB de RAM, e perdi a WebCam, Scanner…

Só to usando para esperar o Windows 7 e ver se fica melhor…

No mais, o note continua no XP e a máquina antiga no Debian com Oracle 10g…

Tenta a instalação com o 10gR2 Win64… pois esse deve funcionar…
